There are two main types of ink that are used for textile printing, water-based ink and plastisol.
Plastisol ink is a PVC (polyvinyl chloride) based system that essentially contains no solvent at all,
it is a thermoplastic ink in that it’s necessary to heat the printed ink film to a temperature high
at is the range of enough to cause the molecules of PVC resin and plasticizer to cross-link and thereby solidify, or cure.
The temperature for most plastisol for textile printing cure at is the range of 149°C to 166 °C (300°F to 330°F).
Now we introduce some characteristics for both of them:

B) Cost and output
Print A4 paper size image on clothing, 150 to 200pcs each kilogram plastisol ink.
C) Print process with plastisol ink
1、Must choose specialized film so it can print fine pattern.
2、Different colours of t shirt choose different mesh number, in general, deep colour with less mesh number.
3、Print sequence: Light colour clothing: print light colour firstly, then dark colour, dry temperature 160°C
4、Squeegee hardness: 70degree, angle:40—60degree,
Distance between screen frame and work table: 0.2—0.5CM.
5、Dry. There are two kinds of dryer. one is flash dryer during textile printing, mostly its IR flash dryer or quartz dryer, the other dryer is after printing complete dry, conveyer infrared dryer, heat length 6 to 8 meters is the best solution. |
